Vic Anderson, the local butcher, bought the business in 1962. A butchers has stood on this site since at least 1891 when William Peck began the business. Part of the village life, this shop is the last remaining local family business. Vic proudly supports the village activities.

Built by Bedfordshire as a Secondary School for the children of Eaton Socon the School became a Primary School in the mid 1960’s. In the summer of  2002 the original school was demolished after a new purpose built Primary School had been built behind. These photographs show children at work in the old classrooms in May 2002.

Daffodils and shrubs planted near the Water Tower have brightened up the southern entrance to Monarch Rd.

Built in 1826 for the ‘confinement of malefactors’ the Cage was used until the end of the nineteenth century. Only one person has been known to escape. This building can be found down School Lane.
