River Festival T-Shirt Order Form Now Available
The Bedford River Festival in July 2008 will be our biggest and best yet and there are many ways your business can be involved, from sponsorship and partnership working to promote your business and products to activities and actual onsite involvement during the weekend.
The River Festival is a hugely significant event, drawing visitors both domestically from around the UK and internationally. The emphasis is on a family-friendly event and given the special significance of the 30th anniversary, we can promise the most spectacular River Festival to date. Several participants have been involved throughout all of the thirty years and this will be a nostalgic year for them, as it will, for everyone who has played a part during the long an impressive history of this great event. As well as being a chance to reflect on previous Festivals we are looking forward to creating some very special memories this year with an action-packed weekend.
The River Festival boasts a line-up of varying events and attractions over the two days, including bands on at least 4 stages, a Festival parade, boat shows and races, a raft race for local teams and a spectacular firework display. In the past the festival has included a salsa stage and base jumping demonstrations that wowed the crowds. This year, along with the usual funfair, stalls and attractions, the River Festival will also host a Sports Village, where local sports clubs can come and demonstrate their skills.
Carnival Parade - leaving De Pary’s Avenue the parade is a riotous colourful start to the festival. The event is free to enter and is open to everyone as walking groups, small vehicles, bands and musical groups and articulated decorated vehicles. There are opportunities to collect for your own or local charity as well as prizes for the best floats. Raft races – The Traditional raft races take place on Sunday 13th July and are always great fun. Build your own raft, enter a team and see how far you can row down the Great River Ouse. Entry forms available here
 
Sponsorship- There are three levels of sponsorship for the festival, Partners, Sponsors and Friends. We can also tailor packages to meet the needs of companies and organisations.
